I got to test knit a pattern for Cambria Washington this week and I have only great things to say about it. :) She's planning to release it soon and it is available for pre-order. Do you have a silly aunt or uncle to knit for? Do you have goofy nieces, nephews, or other kids? Do you have a baby to knit for? You need this pattern.
Even without the eyebrows, it's a straightforward hat with a nice hem. The dimensions are very good for the two sizes I tried and easily adjustable with small gauge adjustments (or adding/removing a multiple of 4 stitches). It comes with a wide variety of eyebrows already graphed, which are very forgiving if your duplicate stitch skills are not used frequently.
It's inspired by the Incognito Cowl but much more useful for people in warmer climes (e.g. Sunny Florida) than a cowl. La wore hers to school today with shorts and a t-shirt. (The high is in the mid-70s. She really didn't need a hat.)
For El: Cascade 220 superwash on size 4 needles. Eyebrows are Caron Simply Soft.
For La: Plymouth Encore on size 8 needles. Eyebrows are random wool (knit picks wool of the andes?)
One of the great things? In all of El's pictures in this hat, she looks like Chuck Barris.

Thanks so much for all the sweet thing you said, lol. I love the photos! Can't wait to see someone walking around my town in a uni-brow hat.
