Monkey Socks!

Well, I have to say that the Monkey sock pattern is fun to knit. Easy to "get". Not too hard to put down and figure out where you left off. I will say that (a)the red and lime green sock yarn is still garish. (b)Right now the sock is a little souchy (c)it turns out that the red and green make a pretty nice stripe in the stockinette. I've adapted the pattern - roll top not ribbed cuff, didn't continue the lace pattern on the foot (who's going to see it?), and went down to 60 sts. around on the foot. Was a quick knit - I've got a couple inches left before starting the toe decreases.

On the other hand, I've had some extra time to knit this "weekend" - Lala was sick. Spent a lot of time on the couch watching "game shows" (and working on the sock). She's back at school today - seemed to be back to her old self when she woke up.

Finally had a good evening of Boy Scout knitting last night, and got most of the heel flap done on the Jaywalker for my sister.

I like the new look of your page! And I too, have found that child sick days are perfect to get socks knit. Too bad the day is interrupted with little kid sicklie-ness. :)
